LOVE is

Love doesn't stink

It's an uncontrollable ride

A chemical peptide

Like all other emotions,

It's got an expiration date

It runs its course then fades

It's figured and then triggered

By a myriad of different influences,

And we are at its mercy

Until it releases us

We have to ride it out

Some scream and others shout,

Sometimes it's used, misused and abused

Some use it to accuse or as an excuse

Or to manipulate, stipulate or leverage

And it's more prevalent with a beverage,

Love can leave a stain

A lasting residue

Of either pleasure or pain

Depending on the way it's used,

Love doesn't come with a set of conditions

As so many try to facilitate

Some think they can make it last forever

But it's just a temporary endeavor,

This is why it creates so many problems

Some say it's what we make it

Some say it's what we take from it

And others can't help to obey it,

Love is too hot to handle

And brighter than a candle

We'll do anything sexual while it's in our veins

From doggy-style to pulling trains,

Love's hangover is far too powerful

All other things pale by comparison

We seek to maintain its high

To avoid the strongest cry!
